ALMA is an abbreaviation of Association of Lay Missionary Action and Asuhan Masyarakat Allah. That is an local Secular Institute in Indonesia which was esthablished by Fr. Paul Janssen, a lazaris priest which was moved by the situation of the disabled children, poor and abandoned who are in need for human touch and the acceptance from the society in Indonesia. ALMA is consist of brothers and sisters who are offers their life for the development and the caring for those who needs a humanity touch.The specialization of ALMA is to make the gospel becomes real particularly for disabled children, poor and abandoned following the example of St. Vincent de Paul and Mother Teresa from Calcuta. The members of ALMA live in society together with poor disabled children and abandoned. The spiritual life is to formate the groups with those needy children who needs charity. The empowerment becomes the main point of ALMA to run the services in the world. ALMA is trying to make the kingdom of Christ grows for the disability and poverty concern. A member of ALMA applicates their service in their pray and their prays in their services with obedience and compassion.
